2008 Kentucky Emergency Services Conference
September 2-4~The Hyatt Regency~Lexington, KY
The KESC committee was informed on June 6, 2008 of the Executive Inn-Rivermont closing on June 9, 2008. While we were very saddened to receive this news, the committee initiated an immediate search for another venue. We have a finalized decision and venue of The Hyatt Regency~Lexington, KY.
The 2007 KESC was a great success with over 450 people attending and learning about the National Incident Management System, Telecommunicator Emergency Response Teams, Enhanced 911 grants, national and federal legislation just to mention a few topics. There were over 65 vendors/exhibitors present to exhibit their products and the latest technologies. There were association and chapter meetings and an abundance of networking opportunities. 2008 KESC committee has made some exciting changes that will enhance the exhibitor face time with potential new clients and your old clients.
The 2008 KESC is going to top all past conferences! New and improved exhibitor hours plus a grand opening Tuesday night with food and entertainment. Some of the topics of interest will be E9-1-1 NG, VoIP, 2008 state legislation, CMRS grant opportunities, grant-writing workshops and of course many networking opportunities. Exhibitor registration deadline August 12.

KENA - APCO is the Kentucky chapter of the National Emergency Number Association and Association of Public Safety Communications Officials International.
The goal of KENA-APCO is to foster the development, availability and implementation of the universal emergency telephone number, 9-1-1, common to all areas of the State of Kentucky, through research, planning, training, education, legislation and sharing of information; represent its members before communications regulatory agencies and policy-making bodies as appropriate; and strive toward citizens having immediate access to emergency public safety services so that safety of human life, protection of property and civic welfare are benefited to the utmost degree. We strive to aid and assist in the timely collection and dissemination of information relating to the 9-1-1 emergency number and provide assistance to our membership and emergency responders throughout Kentucky. |
